Start with the spot, then the look, then the price: a spot with a head or one that's open suits a plain patch, and thin, clear or skin-tone patches suit daytime. Then compare price per patch, not per pack, since counts range from 8 to 72 and promos at Watsons change weekly.

2. Day or night: thin and clear for day, any size at night.
3. Added ingredients: tea tree oil, calendula or acids can irritate. Pick plain if your skin is sensitive.

Brands you'll see often in Malaysia (Oct 2026) include COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, Mentholatum Acnes patches, Watsons' own Acne Patch, Hero Mighty Patch and Dododots. COSRX is the Korean name many people know, Acnes is a long-time pharmacy staple, and Watsons' own brand is one of the cheapest per patch we found.

• Watsons Acne Patch. Assorted sizes, a short ingredient list and a low price. Shows its Malaysian medical device registration number on the listing.
• Hero Mighty Patch. A big US name with a 72-patch pack, but we didn't find it on Watsons Malaysia. We found it online via iHerb Malaysia at a higher price per patch.

How much do pimple patches cost in Malaysia?

As of 20 Oct 2026, common pimple patches in Malaysia cost about RM 0.35 to RM 1.10 each. Pack prices start around RM 10 for 20 to 24 patches. Promo prices we saw at Watsons were 8 to 30% below regular, so the cheapest pack can change week to week.

Most pimple patches in Malaysia are sold at pharmacy and beauty chains like Watsons and Guardian, at convenience stores, and online through brand stores, Shopee and TikTok Shop. Watsons Malaysia lists over 800 stores on its site (Oct 2026) and offers click and collect, which is handy if you want a pack today.

Are cheap pimple patches as good as expensive ones?

Often, yes, for plain patches. The research behind patches is mostly on plain hydrocolloid, and Maitland Dermatology (Oct 2026) says no good study shows medicated patches beat plain ones. A higher price usually pays for a brand name, extra ingredients, designs or microneedles rather than proven extra benefit.

What does change with price is fit and finish: thinner edges, more sizes per pack and how well a patch blends in. Try a small pack before buying a big one.

Imported brands bought online cost more. Hero Mighty Patch's 72-pack was RM 78.32 on iHerb Malaysia. Watsons promos change often, so the same pack can be cheaper or dearer next week.

Can I buy pimple patches at Watsons and Guardian?

Yes. Both chains sell pimple patches, including COSRX, Acnes and their own brands, and both stock Dododots, according to our locations page (Oct 2026).

Watsons offers home delivery and click and collect. Stock varies by store, so check the app or call ahead if you're after one design. Convenience stores like 7-Eleven and FamilyMart also carry Dododots.

Are pimple patches in Malaysia registered?

Some are. Dododots patches are registered with the Medical Device Authority (MDA), and the Watsons Acne Patch listing shows a registration number under Act 737. Not every patch on the shelf is registered.

If registration matters to you, check the pack or listing, or ask the pharmacist. Registration isn't a promise about results, so we stick to what our patches do: cover a spot and keep fingers off.
